A native Charlottean, Natalie has always loved, and gotten in trouble for, drawing in class.

Natalie graduated from Wake Forest University in 2005 with a degree in Analytical Finance and how to pursue a career that is not your calling. After years of working as a Financial Analyst, she stayed home with her children, redefining her purpose. Natalie is a self taught artist and enjoys painting of all kinds - specifically watercolors, illustrations, & murals.

As a child Natalie had a dream to write and illustrate her own books! She recently wrote and illustrated her first children’s book, “Our Name is Loved,” which is out now! She also illustrated “God is Here” by Sarah Blackwell and is an art contributor with Sarah’s work at Proximity to Love.

Natalie’s mission is to create and encourage others through mediums of word and art. She loves to evoke the meaning behind our beautiful natural world, conjuring the spirit behind the everyday mundane. Her favorite subjects are animal and plant life and she loves to research what she paints.

Natalie lives in Matthews, NC with her family. If you ever need her, she is probably out wandering the woods, finding oddities of nature, chasing sunsets, and generally looking upward. She finds solace in yoga, music, mindfulness, estate sale shopping and walking barefoot with her dogs.

“And in this he showed me a little thing, the quantity of a hazel nut, lying in the palm of my hand, as it seemed. And it was as round as any ball. I looked upon it with the eye of my understanding, and thought, ‘What may this be?’ And it was answered generally thus, ‘It is all that is made… It lasts and ever shall, for God loves it. And so have all things their beginning by the love of God.”
