Every work of art begins somewhere: Whether it be your idea or mine, I love the process of going from a blank page (or wall) to a finished piece.

Mural Design.

Mural design begins well before the paint by forming a cohesive vision, sketching, choosing colors, and gathering supplies. When it is time to paint there is one key: layers! For a client, the first few layers may be lackluster, but trust me the exciting parts will come!

Watercolor & Illustration Design

Watercolor & illustration design begins well before the paint by sketching, inking, and choosing colors. My process always includes pen first and watercolor second for a mixed media approach that adds texture to the finished piece!

Behind the art.

This video was produced in 2021 for a client about the story behind the art series “Journey of an Acorn.” This was a seven piece watercolor series for Lent. The art delineates an acorn’s breakdown and my hope was to explain the meaning behind it.

You may view the art for this series on the watercolor portfolio page.
